The lamp base is constructed from layers of Sapele, Beech and Yew, with each later carved back to reveal the natural grain of the timber. Taking inspiration from these organic, fluid forms we developed the embroidered lampshade to echo the movement and texture of the wood through appliqué and layered embroidery.
